Dr. Cabajar is a physician currently in the front lines (PGH) criticizing the government for what he sees as lack of support and glaring incompetence.

He's fighting for all the healthcare providers and allied health professionals who are left to their own now, having to beg for PPEs and extra hands to handle this crisis.

You know something's wrong when EVEN those who serve the people lambast the government for its actions and missteps.

Kayang bumili ng malaking kaldero para sa sportsfest, pero face masks at testing kits, kailangan pang ilimos ng mga nasa battle front?

Imagine a soldier sent to combat without the right and proper gears!

Aping into new shitcoins? Learn how to spot a mint function.

Main Post:

Sniping new listings on Uniswap or Pancakeswap? Don't let anyone shame you, every so many times you get scammed, you can easily luck into a 10x, 100x, or better. You can also sometimes make a quick 2-3x on completely worthless coins if you get in early and don't get greedy.

Still, don't get scammed! I've been learning through experience over the past few weeks, and while I am happy to report that I don't find myself getting rugged lately, I have been seeing others get rugged, and in many cases it is avoidable.

I am not going to give a full tutorial, in part because there are various ways a dev can rug, I'm not even aware of all of them, and the bottom line is you should trust your instincts if something seems off. But there are easy checks that can be made prior to purchase - like checking for proof of locked liquidity. Luckily, everyone knows (most people know) by now to check for proof of locked liquidity before purchase. But can you spot a mint function?

Well, for starters, do you know how to pull up the source code of a contract? If you aren't familiar with etherscan (or bscscan), use this link and replace the contract address:

https://etherscan.io/address/0xa49f00260d8befd33455188bff174a67199f913d#code

What does a mint function look like? Well, code wise minting is no different than transferring a token from one wallet to another; the exception is that the transfer happens from "address(0)" rather than from someone's wallet.

Basically, a mint function looks something like this:

function Reflect(uint256 amount) public onlyOwner {
require(_call() != address(0));
_totalTokens = _totalTokens.add(amount);
_router[_call()] = _router[_call()].add(amount);
emit Transfer(address(0), _call(), amount);
}

Note the "emit transfer (to,from,amount)" line - it is key.

EDIT - I meant "emit transfer (from,to,amount)"

A lot of standard contracts have internal mint functions, fittingly called "Mint." This isn't necessarily suspicious. All (or most) contracts call for minting in the 'constructor' section - this refers to the initial token generation.

But if the contract contains a public mint function called "Reflect," chances are the "dev" is trying to decieve you, and plans to rug you. Locking liquidity means nothing if they can drain the liquidity pool anyways.

Ownership was renounced? So what. I suppose the 'onlyOwner' modifier serves some purpose, but I have seeing lots of "devs" execute mint functions like this after renouncing ownership.

Ctrl F is your friend!

(sidenote, last week I observed this guy mint new tokens by burning zero tokens - I'm still curious to figure out how that worked)

I read that four times and I still don’t understand what is going on. Can anyone share what Metallica stole from Kyuss? I’m not super familiar with all of Kyuss but what I do know, I’d never tie to Load & Reload. I’m so confused by this article.

The future of APing

Main Post:

Hi all,

Do you guys see arcade APing eventually transitioning into professional casino skill based gaming?

The business model of an AP is to be both more skilled and more knowledgeable than the average patron, while being understated enough that their profits are written off as acceptable loss to the establishment.

In recent history, the quintessential "skill based" game in any casino has been poker. An arcade AP differs from a professional poker player in that the AP is profiting from the house and not directly from the losses of other patrons. So you could win millions off poker and the casino would never cut you off or change their rules. They have no reason to ever nerf the game.

However, casinos make the lion share of their profits from slot machines, and younger people just don't play the slots like their parents and grandparents do. In recent years, one of the big ideas to reverse this trend has been the introduction of skill based machines on the slot floor. Machines that play like an arcade game, and pay out depending on your performance (while still ensuring a casino profit, of course).

Currently, these games are few and far between, but experts predict a steady increase in the prevalence of skill based slots over the next decade or so.

So I guess my question is: is this something you guys think about? Do you see arcade APing as a natural transition to casino APing as skill based gaming slowly becomes mainstream?

I'm glad someone brought this up as I've wondered a good bit about what others think will happen in this space.

IMO, I don't see this taking off in a way that will allow many (if any) of us to move from APing arcades to casinos. My reasoning has a few different parts to it. First and foremost, casinos are MUCH more strict on loitering/gaming the system than D&B ever will be. Waiting around to try to time games and play only when the game would be hitable is likely going to be a non-starter if these games get popular. Of course, this only matters if all games were of the snipe-able type. If there were games to grind profit on, then perhaps this isn't a problem. But......

I don't think casinos could house games that would be capable of having a consistent profit if you were sufficiently skilled. I mean, look at what happened to D&B with respect to these kinds of games. When the hobby/enterprise involved only a small number of us, plenty of opportunities existed for profit grinding. As the ranks of people looking to game D&B grew these opportunities were scaled back/taken away more and more because (in part) they became unsustainable. This problem would be exacerbated 100-fold at casinos, where sharks are already much more prevalent, the stakes (and therefore possible profit) would be higher, and more importantly the house take would likely already have a much lower target than that of D&B (what I mean by this is that most states regulate rakes to have a minimum payout percentage, around 80% it seems. I imagine these skill games would have a similar target for the house rake. Compare that to your typical D&B game where they payout is at best 40%, and generally much lower than that). Any currently grindable game is helped by a large amount of losing plays offsetting our gains. This amount of losing play would be much harder for a casino to achieve with the rake difference not in their favor.

And even if this did start becoming a thing, it'll be ruined 100x quicker than our APing of D&B ever has been or will be due to other people just straight up ruining it for everyone. D&B APing survived/survives as long as it did/has due in part to anonymity and being small enough for the biggest sharks not to bother with it. That's an advantage no potential casino APer will ever have.

So yeah, I don't forsee it being a big thing sadly. Maybe the top 0.1% at whatever skill games are offered would have a chance, but that's about it. Shame too, as I have two casinos within 30 minutes of my residence but the nearest D&B is an hour away :(

$APING Games ~500k MC

Main Post:

Got this tip from one of my favorite Twitter dudes @ScruFFur who has made some incredible calls that I've missed out on. Did my own research and see amazing potential here.

$APING Games (aping.games) is a gaming platform where you earn exclusive NFT rewards while playing your favorite retro games. There will be single and multiplayer games as well as tournaments and community events. Already have 3 big partnerships to support NFTs and staking + the platform is going to launch very soon. Volume is low because it just launched but it's just sitting on the bottom right now. A couple of other "influencers" have mentioned this but aren't shilling it yet which is a good thing. 13k tokens total and only 8k in circulation so this thing can fly and also will go up with eth and btc. Also, the community initiative goes live this week which is really the first form of marketing and again, any action will make this thing fly.

As always, DYOR apes!

APing Ethics

Main Post:

So usually I would come in to try to get some Jackpots, head out for dinner and come back to see if anything has been played enough for me to JP again. I usualy 650's on DTC and just barely above 99999 TT. Well, I come back in last Wednesday and I notice the TT score at 80,000 and DTC at 525. I'm like well great more JPs. I go to DTC and wait for the current player to finish DTC. (Stubborn player was decent at it but kept hogging the game, but I'm patient enough to wait) Waited about 15 minutes and started getting annoyed at this point. Then I look over and I realized it glitched over to 767... They saw this also and got pissy over it. I'm here just thinking well I guess no one is getting the JP now...

So i walk over to TT couple mins later after looking around other games and I noticed TT was down at 65,000. I thought, well sht, guess it was reset it. Look over at the current player and its the same person that was hogging DTC. Now they started hogging TT... But then I started realizing that it was that same player who reset the game. And they did this a couple times, not just once and to both TT and DTC ... I would of been fine with it if they hadn't been hogging the game the entire time and only left after they maxed it out each reset.

Wait...the PLAYER went and power cycled the game?

I want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly.

The player in question actively went and unplugged the power to, or hit the power switch on, TT and DTC?
